This policy covers this website, enquiries made through it, telephone and email enquiries, quotations, customer and project correspondence, and related business administration.
What personal information we collect
Information you provide
When you request a quotation, contact us or discuss a project, we may collect your name, company or organisation, telephone number, email address, site postcode, project details, correspondence and any photographs or documents you choose to provide. A website form also records the source page, relevant service or job type and regional service zone so the enquiry reaches the right context.
If work proceeds, we may also keep relevant site, access, programme, contract, delivery, invoice, payment and business-contact records.
Information collected when you use the website
Our hosting and security systems may process your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, date and time, referring page, user agent and security or spam signals. Your privacy choice is stored in your browser, and the corresponding consent state is communicated only to the optional providers you allow.
Where you permit optional technologies, we may also receive online identifiers, page views, clicks, navigation and performance information, campaign or referral details, form-completion events and telephone-link clicks. Microsoft Clarity may provide interaction recordings and heatmaps, which we continue to treat as personal information. Google Ads may provide ad-click, conversion and call-reporting information, including caller number where available, call time, duration, status and campaign source.
A small number of older pages request website assets from jsDelivr or Unsplash. Those providers receive the ordinary network and request information needed to deliver the relevant script, stylesheet or image, such as IP address, browser information, requested asset and referrer.
Information from other sources
We may receive relevant business contact or project information from your employer, colleagues, clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers, referral partners, publicly available business sources and our advertising or analytics providers. We also republish selected public Google reviews using the reviewer name or initial and the review text shown by Google. If an attributed review relates to you and you want us to review its continued display, please contact us.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive or confidential information in a website form. If sensitive information is genuinely needed for safe project delivery, contact us first so we can agree an appropriate way to provide it.
How and why we use personal information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis under UK data-protection law.
| What we do | Why we do it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Respond to enquiries, arrange surveys and prepare quotations | To understand the requirement and provide the information or proposal requested. | Steps requested before a contract where you may contract personally; otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to genuine business enquiries. |
| Provide services and manage projects | To plan and deliver work, communicate with relevant people, administer accounts and manage the customer or supplier relationship. | Contract where applicable; our legitimate interests in running and delivering commercial projects; and legal obligations such as tax, accounting and health and safety. |
| Operate and protect the website and business | To deliver pages and forms, prevent spam and misuse, maintain security, investigate incidents and establish or defend legal claims. | Our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service and protecting our legal rights; legal obligation where one applies. |
| Measure and improve the website | To understand visits, interactions, performance and where genuine enquiries originate. | Your consent for optional analytics technologies, including consent required under PECR. |
| Measure advertising and display external content | To attribute form submissions or telephone-link clicks to advertising, assess campaign performance and show the coverage map. | Your consent for optional website advertising measurement and external-content technologies. A call placed directly from a Google ad is handled as a requested business call and does not depend on a website cookie choice. |
| Handle calls made from Google ads | To answer the requested call, follow up the enquiry and understand whether advertising generated a genuine response. | Steps requested before a contract where applicable; otherwise our legitimate interests in receiving and assessing genuine business enquiries. |
| Display genuine public reviews | To show previous customer experiences and help prospective clients assess our services. | Our legitimate interests in presenting genuine feedback about our work, balanced against the reviewer’s rights and reasonable expectations. |
| Send business marketing where lawful | To tell relevant professional contacts about services that may reasonably interest them. | Consent where required; otherwise our legitimate interest in proportionate business-to-business marketing. You can object at any time. |
Required form fields are needed so that we can understand and respond to an enquiry. If you do not provide them, we may be unable to contact you or prepare a quotation. Other information is optional.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Where electronic business-to-business marketing is used, corporate work contacts may be approached where PECR permits and our legitimate interests are not overridden. Sole traders, certain partnerships and people using personal contact details are contacted only where consent or another valid PECR exception applies.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. The website may also use local storage, session storage, tags and pixels. Essential storage supports your privacy choice and core form or security functions. Optional services remain off unless you select the relevant category.
You can reject optional services and still use the website and send an enquiry. Google Ads is used for conversion measurement rather than personalised website remarketing. The services below may not create every listed item on every visit.
| Service or storage | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
Alu-Glaze privacy preferenceag_privacy_preferences_v1 | Remembers the optional categories you accepted or rejected. | Treated as expired after six months, or until browser storage is cleared. |
Form measurement checkag_ty_access_ts | Helps prevent an unverified thank-you-page visit being counted as a lead where measurement is enabled. | For the browser session and normally removed after validation. |
Google Analytics, where enabled_ga and related identifiers | Measures visits, pages and interactions so we can improve the website. | Up to two years, depending on the live Google configuration. |
Microsoft Clarity_clck, _clsk and related identifiers | Provides interaction recordings, heatmaps and related information for site improvement. These remain personal information even where content is masked. | From the session up to about one year, depending on the identifier. |
Google Ads_gcl_* where created | Stores consented advertising attribution so a form submission or telephone-link click can be measured as a conversion. | Typically up to 90 days. |
| Google Maps | Delivers and secures the coverage map after you enable external content. | Varies by the Google technology, from the session up to two years. |
Provider information is available from Google and Microsoft Clarity. You can also block or delete storage through your browser, although browser-wide blocking may affect website functions.
Who we share personal information with
We share only what is reasonably needed for the purpose. Recipients may include:
- Netlify, which hosts the website and processes website form submissions;
- Microsoft 365 and other communications providers used for business email and correspondence;
- Think Online, our website and advertising support provider, where access is needed to maintain the website, administer enquiries or manage measurement;
- Google for consented Analytics, Ads conversion measurement and Maps, and for call reporting when a Google ad call feature is used;
- Microsoft for Clarity analytics when analytics consent is enabled;
- jsDelivr and Unsplash for scripts, stylesheets or images used on a limited number of older pages;
- telephone, IT, security, accounting, banking, insurance and professional-advice providers;
- employees, authorised contractors, suppliers, clients, principal contractors and site operators where needed to quote, plan or deliver work; and
- courts, regulators, police, tax authorities or other public bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Some recipients act on our instructions as processors; others are responsible for their own processing. We do not sell or rent personal information.
International transfers
Some technology providers may process or support personal information outside the United Kingdom. This can include global hosting, Microsoft and Google services, and website or advertising support provided by Think Online from Australia.
The transfer route depends on the recipient and destination. It may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for an eligible US organisation, or UK-approved contractual safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum together with the required assessment.
Contact us if you would like more information about the route and safeguard relevant to a particular transfer or how to obtain a copy, subject to appropriate redactions.
How long we keep personal information
We keep identifiable information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, legal obligations and legitimate claims.
- Enquiries and quotations: until the enquiry is resolved and a reasonable follow-up period has ended, unless the information becomes part of a customer, project, complaint or legal record.
- Customer, contract, invoice and core supplier records: generally six years after the work, transaction or relationship ends, or longer where tax, safety, warranty, insurance or legal-claim requirements apply.
- Security and access logs: only while needed to operate and secure the website, then deleted or aggregated, unless a record is needed to investigate an incident, misuse or legal claim.
- Analytics and advertising information: while needed to reconcile campaign response, investigate invalid activity and assess performance, then deleted or aggregated where the account controls permit. Provider-controlled records may follow the provider’s own disclosed retention periods.
- Marketing preferences: until consent is withdrawn or the contact is no longer relevant. We may keep a minimal suppression record so an objection continues to be respected.
- Published reviews: while the review remains relevant and reasonably expected to be public, subject to periodic review and any request or objection we receive.
- Privacy choices: for six months before the website asks again.
We may delete information sooner, anonymise it so it is no longer personal, or retain it longer where a legal hold, dispute, investigation or binding requirement makes that necessary.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have the right to:
- ask for access to your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to erase information or restrict how it is used;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain information you provided in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing; and
- ask for safeguards relating to a qualifying solely automated decision.
You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Contact us or use the unsubscribe method in a marketing message and we will stop.
Rights are not absolute and do not all apply to every use. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or authority. We normally respond within one month and do not usually charge a fee.
How to make a complaint
You can complain to Alu-Glaze by emailing office@agde-group.co.uk, calling 0330 057 5857 or writing to our registered office. Please explain what happened, the information or interaction involved and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you appropriately informed and explain the outcome.
You can also complain directly to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not need to complain to us first.

Security, children and automated decisions
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including encrypted website connections, access controls, spam controls and provider security measures. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
This commercial services website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly seek children’s personal information through it.
Alu-Glaze does not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Consented analytics and advertising services may group events or assess campaign performance, but Alu-Glaze does not use those outputs to make such a decision about an individual.
Links may take you to websites controlled by other organisations. Their own privacy policies apply to their processing.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our services, website technologies, providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects people, we will use an appropriate way to bring it to their attention.
