CONTACT US
Email photos of the window type with any access constraints. We assess the issue quickly, confirm call-out cost, and where possible diagnose the fault before attendance.
Typically assessed within 30 minutes.
Operating or locking failure? Security or health and safety concerns? We provide rapid attendance to secure the window system where immediate repair is not possible.
A broken, insecure or inoperable commercial aluminium window can create an immediate risk to occupants, the public and the building. Urgent faults can include smashed or displaced glazing, a dropped opening light, failed locks or restrictors, damaged hinges and gearing, or frame damage that prevents the window from closing safely. Keep people away from the affected area and avoid operating or handling unstable components. Photographs, the site postcode, window location and a description of the immediate risk help Alu-Glaze assess the safest response.
Emergency commercial window repair is available during our normal opening hours: 7:30 am–5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 am–4:00 pm Friday. Alu-Glaze is closed on Saturday and Sunday and does not advertise a 24-hour service. We aim for same-day attendance where possible, subject to location, access and team availability. Non-urgent defects and planned remedial work should be directed to commercial aluminium window maintenance.
We secure, repair and restore side-hung, top-hung, tilt-and-turn, sliding and pivotal commercial aluminium window systems. Faults can include failed hardware, hinges, gearing, handles and restrictors, Teleflex controls and electric actuators, with the initial information used to determine whether the priority is immediate make-safe work, temporary security or permanent component-led repair.

The first attendance focuses on controlling the hazard and restoring reasonable security. Depending on the damage, this may involve isolating the area, securing the window, removing unstable material or providing temporary protection. Boarding-up is available where necessary when the opening cannot be made secure with the existing system and the correct glass or components cannot be installed immediately. Same-day attendance does not mean every permanent repair can be completed on the first visit.
The lasting repair may require measured glass, an insulated unit, replacement hardware, frame components or a different access arrangement. Alu-Glaze records the defect, confirms the specification and plans the return work; as an insurance-approved contractor, we can also provide relevant repair information for an insurance process. Where wider replacement is required, the work moves to commercial aluminium window installation. Accessible glass-only damage may sit with commercial glazing repair, while damaged retail frontage glass should use the Shopfront Glass Replacement service.
