The Brief / Challenge

Glazing panels within the roof system at Genting Casino, part of the Resorts World complex in Birmingham, had failed and required replacement. Roof glazing in a live hospitality and entertainment venue presents specific challenges — the panels are overhead (requiring laminated glass for post-breakage retention), the venue operates extended hours, and any lifting operation within the building needs meticulous planning to ensure both safety and minimal disruption to the business.

The Solution / What We Delivered

All required Health & Safety documentation was prepared and implemented before any work commenced, including a detailed Lift Plan, full RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statement), and permits to work specific to the venue's operational requirements.

Toughened laminated glass panels were supplied, with delivery coordination and controlled handling managed throughout the logistics chain to prevent transit damage. On site, access equipment and a CPA (Construction Plant-hire Association) Contract Lift were provided to safely lift and position the replacement panels at roof level.

Each panel was installed, aligned, and secured in accordance with the roof glazing system's requirements. A final inspection and quality check programme was completed following installation to confirm correct fitment, seal integrity, and compliance with the specification.
